Research Contributions & Submission Guidelines

The IR & Markets Think Tank is an independent think tank that welcomes research submissions from established researchers, academics and practitioners. It engages directly with complex international questions to produce research that is empirically grounded, strategically relevant and independent.

Our Research Pillars

We accept original contributions across the following research domains:

  • International Relations & Geopolitical Analysis
  • International Political Economy
  • Financial Technology & Digital Infrastructure

Submissions are categorized by depth of inquiry: Strategic Analysis (800–1,500 words), Strategic Assessments (1,200–2000 words) and Research Papers (2,000–3,000 words).

Contributor Tiers & Standards

To maintain the highest level of analytical rigor, we operate a tiered contributor framework aligned with academic and professional standing. All designations reflect both subject-matter expertise and demonstrated analytical capability.

Submission Requirements

  • Originality: Submissions must be original and not currently published or under review elsewhere.
  • Evidence-Based: Arguments must be substantiated with data or reference to supporting research. We prioritize analytical rigor over general commentary.
  • Referencing: We utilize a hybrid model for digital ease. Please use hyperlinks within the text for immediate context, supported by a formal reference list (where relevant) at the end of the document to ensure academic traceability.
  • AI Policy: We do not accept generative AI content. AI may only be used in a strictly assistive capacity (e.g., translation or grammar refinement) and must be declared upon submission.
  • Legal & Ethics: By submitting, authors represent that they are the sole creators of the work and that it contains no libelous or unlawful statements. All contributions are voluntary.

Editorial Process

All submissions are subject to a disciplined editorial review. We reserve the right to decline submissions that do not align with our remit or meet our standards of rigor. Accepted works may receive revisions for clarity and house-style copyediting. Authors will have the opportunity to approve the final draft prior to publication.

How to Submit
